Welcome to my Blog!!!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to my fat to fit journey! When I turned 45 in March, I made a commitment to myself to be in the best shape of my life in 2016. My weight has always been like a yo-yo, up and down. 215lbs was my highest weight(I will share some of those pics later). At the beginning of 2016 I was averaging between 183-185lbs. I would start a "diet" and quickly lose my motivation. When my birthday rolled around, I decided that was Enough!

What did I do?

1) I set a goal weight. 145lbs. Then I broke it down into smaller weekly goals.

2) I started by cutting out certain foods from my eating habits....Red Meats, Pasta, Breads(I limit myself to 1 pc of Wheat toast in the morning). And NO FAST FOOD. I would allow myself to pizza Friday(of course in moderation)

3) Exercise. For me its a lot of walking right now. I know that I will  need to incorporate different workouts soon.

4) I weighed myself frequently. I would weigh in first thing in the morning every few days.  I know I know- some people say THROW OUT THE SCALE! I disagree. For me,  It keeps me on track and focused. Trust me I know there is always going to be some variations.

All was going very well. I was focused, determined and dropping the weight. Then I did a cross country move! Las Vegas, NV to Columbus, OH. Stressful to say the least. For the most part I maintained the current weight of 165(where I was at that point). Went back to yo-yoing a little bit. Now that I am settled, I have been back to all 4 of the goals I set for myself in March. I am currently at 162lbs. I am 17lbs away from my goal. No one is harder on me, then me! There are days I lose my motivation. I did not come this far to go in reverse. What better way to keep my focus, determination and accountability then to put it all out there on the world wide web lol.

Guys and Gals.....I am just here to share, obtain other healthy eating and exercies ideas and hopefully motivate someone else to get started.

Are you on your own fitness journey? Do you need motivation and someone to hold you accountable? Please feel free to share or leave a message!
